TimberTech Teams with GE Money on Consumer Financing Program

1/19/2010 Download Release

TimberTech, in partnership with GE Money, the consumer lending unit of General Electric Company (NYSE:GE - News), today announced an agreement that allows contractors to offer alternative financing options for
customers. The TimberTech credit card offers consumers a no-annual-fee line of credit with no down payment required and provides flexible payment terms. It is managed by GE Money’s Sales Finance unit, which provides billions of dollars of consumer financing through more 145,000 small and medium businesses on Main Streets across the United States.

“At TimberTech, we continually strive to make it easier for our trade partners to improve their business by providing all of the tools they need,” said TimberTech senior marketing manager Cheryl Copeland. “By offering this new financing program through GE Money, we are adding
another tool for contractors to do what they do best, build terrific decks.”

Adding an outdoor living area such as a deck increases the livable space of the home without the extensive cost and labor involved with an addition. Remodeling Magazine’s Cost vs. Value Report shows that a composite deck addition brings a better return on investment than
basement remodel, roof replacement or sunroom addition projects.

"Homeowners will be pleased with the financing options available through the TimberTech Home Design program," said Greg Pittman, vice president and general manager, GE Money – Sales Finance. "Now, they have a way build the outdoor living spaces of their dreams today while
spreading out the cost in monthly payments that fit within their budgets."
