Treelight House
VIC, Australia
Responding to the constraints of an east-west site and a mature magnolia tree positioned at its heart, the home adopts an unconventional footprint that maximizes northern light while unfolding gracefully around the existing landscape. Carefully framed views capture the tree from every angle, transforming it from a simple backdrop into a defining architectural element.
The connection between architecture and nature extends seamlessly outdoors, where a generous deck finished in TimberTech Landmark Collection® French White Oak creates a refined transition between interior living spaces and the garden. Chosen for its soft, natural timber aesthetic, the decking complements the home’s restrained material palette while providing the durability and low maintenance performance required for modern family living.
